First Sentence
Ewan made his first sign language sentence this week:
"All done hat"
That's great, but unfortunately he still needs a translator.
What he was shooting for was "Please stop washing my hair."
In case you are now wondering about Drake's first sentence it was "Baby kitty eat" (while watching a lion eat a zebra on the Discovery Channel.

Tradition
This weekend was time for our big Santa visit.
We got up EARLY, drove to the BIG BOAT and rode to Friday Harbor to see the Big Man.

Ewan quickly realized that on a ferry you have a captive audience, so he seized the opportunity to educate an enthusiastic group of UW biology students on the many uses of his favorite fruit:

Hat,

Hammer,

Scarf,

Fishing pole....and eventually....GLUE!
This year we had NO car troubles, so we made it there early enough to play on the beach before the Big Visit.

As always, there's a warm up period before you can be fully ready to deliver your message to Santa:

Ewan spent this time trimming the tree, kissing girls, playing the piano, dancing, and discovering Christmas cookies.
