Trick or Treat

We where the "healthy treat house" in our new neighborhood.

New neighbors Finley and Xavier were our first trick-or-treaters (they heard we had the good stuff!)

Ewan opted for Tricks over Treats and tried to extinguish every single Jack-o-lantern he saw with his handy fire fighter's hose.

Peter Pan's shadow followed him ALL OVER the new neighborhood.

Key

Over a month ago, I said I wouldn't believe that this move was actually happening until the keys were in my hand.

So here we go!

Teacher

Drake announced on the way to school today that he is going to be a TEACHER!

What's on the curriculum at the school of Drake?

"Summersaults, a yittle bit of writing, and GOLF (but only for the ones who don't already know about golf)."

New Strategy

Ewan's new strategy at school:
Blend in and hope that Mrs Kirbawy doesn't notice the extra student.

...more waiting...

Yep, still here on good old Bell Street....

Today I rescheduled the xfinity installation appointment at the new house for the FOURTH time.

While we wait for the stars to align, it seems like it might be time for a few more Drakisms:

"Sometimes squirrels are afraid of octopuses."

"It's a pretty nice day, but it's shadowy."

"Ewan's really strong, but he's still a yittle bit fragile."

D: "Where do whales live?"
Daddy: "In the ocean."
D: "HEY! That's EXACTLY where Hawaii is!!"

"Oh Yook! Airplane tracks! It's headging Souf-east!"
(Yes, it was in fact heading south east!)

And the best EVER Mommy quote (something I never would have imagined myself needing to say):

"Please keep your penis out of your cornflakes."

(Sorry, that's probably totally inappropriate, but WAY too funny to keep to myself.)

The first bite is always the best!

Ewan just very carefully took one bite out of each strawberry and stacked the remains in a nice little pile on the table.
The Dude is seriously proud of himself.
