The Name Game

Why is it so hard to name a new person!
Now that we're at 36 weeks, we're (well, mostly just me) feeling the baby naming pressure.
When I tried to ask Drake what the new baby's name should be, he eliminated my choices one by one, sounding completely disgusted with all of them. "Well what should we name it then???" I asked. He looked at me like I was totally off my rocker for even asking, and announced "Alison". Apparently this was obvious and I should have known. This stumped me since we don't know anyone named Alison. Does he know something we don't know? Was it a message from New Baby to Big Brother?? After a long investigation, I finally discovered that "Alison" is a student teacher at the Evergreen State College Daycare. A slim graceful dancer with flowing skirts and impressive dreadlocks. Maybe this was not so much a secret message between siblings as a glimpse of Drake's teenage years? So now the question is, do you let the 2 year old name the baby? It could be worse; his favorite toy truck is named Wackioni (rhymes with macaroni).
The list:
Ewan - there's a big debate on this one about how bad it is to have your name constantly mispronounced.
Elijah (Eli) - too biblical? too popular? not sure.
Micah - we really liked this one until we googled it. turns out Micah Stewart is a horrible guy somewhere in the South who killed his wife and stuffed her in a dumpster. Probably a bad idea to share a name with a convicted felon??
Alison - see above. Important to remember during our sleep-deprived first few moments with New Baby: this name cannot be grouped with middle name Skye due to unfortunate initials.
Josephine (Jo/Josie?) - this seems to be a good one....
Esme - I love it, Elan is convinced that it would be mispronounced and misspelled (but doesn't think this would be an issue with Ewan?) Googling this one brings up portraits of Esme Stewart the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Dukes of Lennox. Unfortunately this is a "Twilight" name, and so probably off the list for that reason alone.
Ripley - guess who voted for this one? Naming a child after someone who managed to survive growing an alien in her belly, jumping into hot liquid metal, and DNA cloning seems like large shoes for a little girl to fill.....
Kael -  in honor of Drake's new found love of Kale ("Green Food") Plus incredibly close to Superman's name.
Logan - after Wolverine, of course (speaking of big shoes to fill).
Eleanore - soooo many great nickname options: Ella, Ellie, El, Nora....
That's most of the list.
Input is welcome.
Man, this is complicated.
