Dolphin Eggs

Even after starting on cool foods like avocados and sweet potatoes, we somehow ended up with one of those White Food Only kids;
Rice
Yogurt
Banana chips
Crackers
Waffles
Cheese

In a moment of total desperation I stumbled on Shark Eggs!!
(an omelet cut with a shark shaped cookie cutter).
This quickly led to Frog Eggs, Butterfly Eggs, and Dolphin Eggs.

I guess now we need a quick biology lesson about mammals and eggs......

  1. He's still scarfing Broccoli here but possibly because he gets to feed the stems to John who makes something of a scene over it. Also corn bread which is kinda whitish yellow. He'll eat snow peas for Mima.

    We have a routine about crackers here. He'll say he wants to eat "something" but won't say what. So I make suggestions like "Aligator butt?" "Monkey Toes?" "Eel Eyeballs?" "Jellied Hagfish?" The very first time I tried this Drake stared at me, then flashed a grin and said "No, that's YOUR food!" It's a standard now.

    Pretty funny boy.

  3. awesome idea Katy! I didn't know other folks had this problem too! two months ago our little dude would eat anything you put in front of him - broccoli, spinach, berries, pickled octopus - and now it's all white foods....all the time. the best part is you can grind up anything and put it in yogurt and he'll eat it. the other night he was eating cheeseburger blueberry spinach seaweed garlic banana yogurt. on toast. geeeeeuuuwwwww
