What a perfect day to go to the beach (ha ha)!
If we Washingtonians let a little soggy weather get in our way, we would never get anything done....
This seems like a great opportunity for a little lesson on Pacific Northwest weather.
When you see a report like this:

you might think that it is telling you to expect a 20% chance of rain today in Seaside.
Not true.
Things work a little differently here in the great PNW.
What this report is ACTUALLY telling us, is that today there is a 100% chance that it will rain for 20% of the day.
So the boys and I are packing our rain gear and our beach toys and heading to Seaside to join Carol and JJ for a couple of days on the beach. In the rain.
The kids learn these lessons and adapt quickly. Back in January on one of our first warm sunny days of the year Drake took the hose and:
ReplyDelete1. Made mud puddles so he could stomp in them
2. Sprayed the hose straight up to make it rain
3. Watered down the back steps so we could sit on them and get "rainy butts"
That boy has mildew in his veins. The first lie he ever needed me to believe was "It not raining!"
