Kettle River
We topped off our Grandpa vacation with a float trip down the Kettle River and a night sleeping under the stars.
The Kettle River's big claim to fame was during prohibition when kegs of booze would "fall off the truck" upriver in Canada and bob down the river to Curlew where it was rescued. Believe it or not, they even have a festival ever year where my Dad follows a keg down the river and all of the locals place bets on when it will float under the bridge into town. Fun, huh?
